ABOUT US
Human beings generate voice with the help of vocal cords in the larynx. When the cancer in vocal cords is advanced we have to remove the larynx (Laryngectomy) to cure the patient. But he is unable to talk. There are about hundred (110) Laryngectomees around the country and they face various hardships due to lack of voice. The College of Otorhinolaryngologists and Head & Neck Surgeons of Sri Lanka has formed a Lanka Laryngectomees’ Association to help them in many ways.
